7/19 Cold Reading: BE CAREFUL, BIKERS!

I’m inspired to do a “Cold Call” reading tonight, but I’m bored with tarot cards. I’m going to draw some random goodies from my special mojo bag filled with Somniscript chips and other dream symbols that I’ve picked up along the way.

That bicycle could be a metaphor: freedom and efficiency comes with a degree of vulnerability. I’m getting a strong feeling, though, that this is literal. I have a few friends who ride. I want you all to be very careful this week.

The symbol on the right represents the Law of Conservation of Energy. Sounds nice and “green,” doesn’t it? But it really refers to the tendency of the Universe to balance itself out, like water seeking its own level. Energy can’t be created or destroyed, but it does change form, all the time.

The middle symbol isn’t Somniscript, but the sigil of the planet Uranus: he rules chaos and transformation. Sometimes this works in our favor. Other times it can be pretty painful.

The symbol on the left is the doorway to new worlds. And in this case, I sense that this “new world” is going to require leaving the old one behind.

Seriously, cyclist friends, pay attention and watch your ass. Cars and buses ARE BIGGER THAN YOU and they can’t always see you zipping around. The life force is a form of energy. Please don’t let yours change form just yet.

“Somniscript” what…?

Earth-centric astrology has always seemed really confining to me. What about other-dimensional beings? What about someone born on another planet? What about everyone who just doesn’t feel that Earthling groove? These symbols came to me in a dream trance during the wide-open doorway of the New Moon on the darkest night of 2012 (when the world may or may not have been ending, remember that? Good times!). Whatever your center may be, it’s all about the cycles around you.

Stay tuned for more about Somniscript and how these dream symbols are used in charts and readings! I’ll have some free samples coming up later this week! (Or PM me for more info and a special pre-official-offer reading discount.)

Cold Reading: You’re going to be ok, just DO SOMETHING

Ohhhhhh let’s do a 4am Cold Reading. I’m tired of Tarot, though. Tonight I’m going to draw from my own divination tools: the Somniscript glyphs.

cr-20150613Wow. Now, this is why I love Somniscript. We start out with the entire Multiverse itself, and I’ve covered it with a Door. Whoever you are, reality is yours to command. You just need to grow a pair and take the responsibility: step through the door. This means leaving some things behind. It means entering the unknown — but it’s not really “unknown,” is it? It’s just “unexperienced…YET.” In an infinite multiverse, anything is possible.

I also drew a token from my Mystical Bag of Mojo Dreamy Things. Here we have a Trefoil. The three-leaved clover is a protective herb (not quite as lucky as its four-leaved sibling, but still a positive symbol). Numerologically, this also bears the powerful ACTION of the number 3. So, do you have what it takes to break out of the old boring familiar patterns and carry on under your own power? Start building.

What? It’s not possible? Who says? Screw them. If you can imagine it, then it already exists on some plane of reality. Bring it here and let’s see it. I dare ya.

Cold Reading: The Bear

So I was outside smoking a smoke just now, at 3 in the morning. I looked down into my wine goblet and I saw a bear — angry, teeth bared (bear baring!), in the middle of a cityscape. So angry and lost and confused.

8This is a job for the Somniscript. I drew glyph #8, “MASTERY.”
This seems like a paradox at first: how can this bear be “in its element?” Especially when it’s so threatened by, and resistant to, its surroundings?

Ok, Person Who Needs This Reading, whoever you are: you have GOT to just accept the new situation. Accept it, consider it, learn to understand it, and then MAKE IT YOUR OWN. You can keep beating your head against this as long as you like, but it’s not going away. You can’t fight this change. You can, though, adapt — and eventually dominate. They might be able to change everything around you, but they can’t steal your teeth.

Look around, make a wish (Daily Divination 1/6/13)

No random words this time! I mentioned the Somniscript in a previous post, and that’s what you’re going to get.

What’s that? What is the Somniscript?
WHAT IS THE SOMNISCRIPT? It’s ONLY the set of 48 very special letters in the basic Chronoscopic alphabet used and abused by Somnicists everywhere.

What? What are the –? Pffff. Ok, never mind that for now. I’m working on a whole-new version of the Grimagix Network, and that’ll all be in there. Everything will be made clear. Or at least more brilliantly confusing. Until then, you will get these little droplets of brain nectar, and you will like it.

Lucidity-Somniscript-Major Glyph
This character means “LUCIDITY,” and coincidentally, Lucidity is our concept for January 6th.

Have you ever been dreaming and realized you were dreaming? Some people can do that almost every time they sleep. For others, it’s a rare pleasure. When you realize you’re dreaming, you gain the power to change things. You’re no longer just a character in your dream; you’re the director. You can turn that monster into a harmless puppy (or worse), call up a delicious banquet out of nowhere, or just lift your feet off the ground and fly.

Waking up is a disappointment — suddenly you’re back in the “real” world, where for most sad sacks, the greatest power over reality they think they’ll ever get is to choose the color of their socks (hint: black goes with everything).

But dreams go deep. You can wake up from a dream, start living your normal conscious life for awhile, and then realize that you’re still dreaming. Wake up from that, it happens again. Once, many years ago, I woke up through so many layers, so quickly, that the world became a blur and when I finally landed in my bed (after falling upwards through that Aetheric muck for who knows how many dream-miles) I was afraid to even move, lest the “real world” start dissolving around me.

I wish I’d understood way back then that there’s no such thing as a “real world.” I was — and am — still dreaming. So are you. Reality is defined by how you understand it. Your dream is different than my dream, but they’re both just as valid. We can meet at certain points.

Today, while you’re up and wandering around in your own reality, try waking up again. Use those marvelous powers lurking just beneath your conscious mind. Do something amazing that the “real” world would never have allowed. Change your own personal version of “real.”

Incidentally, today’s date adds up to 11. Numerologically speaking, the whole day is a doorway to higher (and lower) planes of existence. Let’s just put a stopper in that door so it doesn’t swing shut.

You’d like to fly, wouldn’t you?
